Gymnastic questions? Tumbling or trampoline?

I built my own PC. I have an ageing Athlon64 x2 6000+ cpu clocked at 3.0ghz. A nice abit an-m2 motherboard. An 8800GT graphic card with Arctic Cooling Accelero AC-S1 rev 2 Radical high performance pive cooler x4 heatpipes and fan connected. This is clocked at GPU clock 650 mhz, memory is 1900 mhz, and shader at 1620 mhz. All my games I play, like call of duty 4, oblivion etc, I play them all at 1680x1050, with AF at x16, and AA at x4. Games run smoothly. So why do people insist on me getting a quad core. Don't they know most games are based on single core cpu's. Only a few are started to even use two cores. If I had a quad it would be a waste of my money, because only two of the cores would ever be used. I do not encode from avi to dvd. So why do people I talk to tell me to get a quad, and even upgrade my graphic card. Even doing that the games would look no different. Maybe a few extra frames a second, but come on, will I really notice a difference from the smooth gameplay I have already? I know the score with pc's etc. I was just wondering on your thoughts about the subject of quad. Is it really worth getting? I look forward to your replys.

Seems engaging, and the plot is pretty good. The only problem I have with it, is that it is a form of purple prose. This is when a writer uses too many adverbs and adjectives to describe things... How do I deal with my anger?

My wife and I were asked by her Grandmother about 15 years ago to move in with her and help her take care of the big house that she and her late husband owned. When we got here, the house was a dilapidated mess. Full of trash and collections of bags, paper, cardboard boxes etc etc etc. We worked hard to clean it up and get some remodeling done to the house. It is a continuous battle to keep her grandmother from collecting more and more trash. I have to rip every bag to render it unusable. Soda bottles too. She lies to cover up her taking of trash out of the can to "reuse". I caught her today pulling a couple soda cups from a local fast food place that my wife and had been 3-4 days ago. She was using them as a vase for some flowers she had cut from the yard. I pulled the flowers out and placed them on the counter telling her "you have dozens of REAL vases, stop digging in the trash!" She said she didn't dig them out but I very well remember tossing those away a few days ago. (they were from Arby's, she doesn't eat at Arby's). She lied and said they were from when she and a friend went to Arbys. I called her on it and called her an out and out liar. A yelling match insued and my wife (her grand daughter) would not back me up. I was infuriated! I made my wife so angry that she hit me repeatedly with a coathanger (still marks). I'm going out of my mind living with this woman but we financially have no other choice but to stay here. So I need to make the best of a very bad situation. I need to know what to do about the anger that builds up in me almost instantly when she lies and digs in the trash. (p.s. I know it sounds gross but I've had to resort to pissing on the trash outside to make it smell so she won't dig it hasn't had ANY effect )

Is it safe to do p90x with a recent knee injury?

I recently tore my MCL and I was wondering if I'd be alright to do p90x . I tore it like 3 months ago but I re injured it like three weeks ago. My doctor says he'd like me to work out my knee just not side to side or sharp turn type exercises. Would it be OK if I started p90x or do you think I should just stick to moderate weight training and that type stuff. I guess what I am trying to ask is if it is hard on the knees at all and if it is safe for me to do. Copious amounts of summer homework ok for mental health?

I'm currently a junior in hs, and not meaning to brag, one of the better students. Last year for the first time I was given summer hw in 2 cles. This included: read 6 books, read 200 pages and take 8 pages of notes, write 8 essays, write 15 1-page responses using primary doents to historical question plus a few other ignments. Although I tried to spread it out over the summer, I spent the last 3 weeks of my summer holed up in my room working around the clock to finish. I didn't see any friends and missed a weekend trip my family took. I have never worked harder or been more depressed in my life. This summer, the work seems to have doubled. Teachers argue that its to prepare you for the workload of the cl and give you a headstart, but the cles were much easier than the work and about only 10% pertained to curriculum. I argue that this level of work is bad for students as I was about to snap and summer should be a time to relax. Is this amount of work ok for mental health?

How do i stop sacrificing my life and happiness for 2 eldery parents...desperate please help?

I'm a 32yr old female. My mum is 69. I live two hours drive away from her with my partner. I'm an only child. I had to move 10 yrs ago (from near her) as she was haring me, dropping into my workplace and making life hell. She has mental health issues and as a 22yr old i found it too hard to deal with, the embaressment and shame. Shes under psychriatic care. She was living fairly independantly but now her behaviour is really bad, shes impossible to be around, causes trouble with family members any way she can. I cannot bring my partner to her house to stay. She hates him and refuses to acknowledge that we are a couple. Her underlying belief is that i should move beside her and 'take care of her'. She is obsessed with this belief and drives it home to me 100% and tells all that will listen (neigbours,family and all ) that i dont visit her much or that she doesnt see much of me. I ring her 3 times per day, i visit her alone every 3 weekends for the whole weekend. I do anything practical for her that she'll let me do. Shes a tremendous bully and does not behaviour well. Would think nothing of insulting someone's dead mother to their face or saying awful things about me or my father, thats even after i lovingly tell her to refrain from such comments and she will have a nicer life. All her relatives have abandoned her, no one visits and even the neighbours want nothing to do with her as shes dangerous as in she repeats anything she hears and names names. Like a 3 yr old. But very malicious gossip. She hasnt a good word to say about Dad and subjects him to horrendous verbal abuse.My dad has his house half hour drive away. He stays wtih her over night. Arrives at 7-8pm at night and leaves around 10am in the morning. Spends the whole day away from her. I was raised with her and her foster mother. Life was never easy. She stood out for her bizarre behaviour, i dressed her from when i was a little kid and i was bullied very badly coz of her.Dad lived most of the time with his brother who was mentally handicpped. My mother i feel right now, needs more care. My father refuses to acknowedge this. He does not want her 'instituationalised'. I dont wish her to be 'locked up 'either, but i think she needs more care at this stage. He will not let me speak to her psychitarists or nurses in charge of her. He says that she 'cannot help her behaviour and that we ahve to live with it'. He says to me when i tell him i'm stressed ' cop on to yourself'. Yet, he will not reveal to her health professionals exactly how bad things are. He expects me to 'visit more' but even that does no good for her or doesnt make her happy, even though i sacfifice so much of my happiness for her and to 'make life easier' for dad. He tries his best with her. My life is so controlled i cannot tell her (or him now) i'm doing something nice for the weekend or they try to make me feel so guilty. Dads tone would be 'good for you, what about me and your mother'. I've put off getting married coz i know she would go beserk and there is no way you could have her at a wedding, she would rise hell. I spend all my xmas and easter holdiays with her (all my life)..alone without my partner. I'm so stressed i'm on medication and seeing a therapist who is trying to show me to set boundaries. I've told my dad this and he says that it is 'my problem', the way i look at things, that 'your mother cannot help it, and you have to live with it'. Its not that i cannot 'accept' shes ill, i fully do. I just cannot accept my life being a slave to this illness and her controlling behaviour, thats the problem. I want my mum in my life, i love her, and love him, but i'm sacrificing my life and they control it. To the point i think its not work living.I tell him im worried sick about her and him and he tells me to cop on. He has multiple health issues aswell so i worry about him so much. Please advise me. My lifes very difficult and i love and care for both of their welfare. By the way shes well known to a psychtiratic team but they tell my dad and me theres nothing that can be done for her. I do speak to her psychriatic nurse and doctor and have told them how much stress she is but they say 'thats just the way she is, that she is just akward, and that they cannot help her'. For a woman, a pillow should be very easy to make, especially with a sewing machine. I believe every woman should want to make their husband's a custom pillow to sleep on. Basically, he tells her the dimensions, how firm or how soft, and what material to make it from and then she lovingly submits to him and makes it. I mean, if men theoretically spend a 1/3 of their life in bed, its one of the best gifts she could make him. I do think that if women does prefer a store bought pillow, their husbands should let them get one under most cirstances.

on my birthday my husband wanted to do something nice 4 me & get something i never had before so he got me up that morning & didnt tell me where i was going, after him and my daughter cleaned my car they took me to randall noe in terrel & told me to pick a new car i liked under x amount of $ because i would have to make the payments on it i am disabled so i get only one check a month its not alot anyway, the salesperson pretty much tired of wating on me to makeup my mind so he made it up for me saying things like trust me and im going to do you right and so on. mind you at this time he had already told me to get my stuff out of my car they took my keys and put my car behind there builing in a gated area that locks away from the rest of the cars. then he told me how i wanted this car and sent my husband to the finance office to sign all of the papers. then he tried to con vince me that this car was the perfect car i would love i told him i did not like it he said i would love it just trust him. he sent me to where my husband was to wait so they could fill the car with gas & detail it. we were there like the entire day, seriously 9 maybe 10 hours.they did not bring me the car until after they made sure he had signed all of the nessary papers. then they brought me the keys so i could acctually look at the car. buy this piont i had been there so long i was getting cranky & it was my bday present. i started checking the car out &actually opened the car & looked inside it & kinda drove it a little bit. i told any and every employee i saw i did not like it & did not want it at this piont every single ford employee still acted like they did not understand english by the time i left i was more than upset i was in full blown tears. crying so hard the one and only employee who actually heard me and wanted to help me i could not tell you what he looked like at all was told to go do something i was told then to just keep the car 6 mnths. and they would make everything all good trust them i told them to give me my car back & i did not want the piece of crap car. anyway they forced me to leave in this car i did not want i was crying so hard i could barely see the road i could have really hurt myself i could not even see the road. is there anything i can do i am trying hard not mess up my husbands credit i have went back a few times to try & see if they were going to fix this & was pretty much told not there problem. to keep the car 6 to 12 mnths then come back & maybe they can do something. so today i went back again &delt with another dept.who was much nicer than the ford dept. they would try to do some # stuff & see if they could help my piont is still i did not want leave there car at all i should not have been forced to, can i do anything? i thought buying your first new car was supposed to be fun & exciting, mine was truly a nightmare now i terrified of new cars completely!! help please.

Can it be said that i've used marijuana to cheat in life and therefore cheat myself?

so we all have certain neurochemicals in our brain which effect mood and they become active when we talk to friends or watch a good movie or play a game, etc. basically, these neurochemicals allow use to feel natural pleasure out of life. marijuana effects those chemicals (serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine). the more i started to smoke weed, the more i felt like i was cheating life. i say that because instead of going out into the world and having experiences which would spark those happy chemicals, i've stayed at home alot and obtained that pleasure directly by smoking weed. i skipped the hard work. however by doing this regularly, i find that life can't give me the pleasure it used to anymore. only weed can now and since i smoke weed alot, then even that wont make me as happy as it used to. i think i created an imbalance of those neurochemicals by smoking too much weed. its like when a teacher catches you cheating on a test and she tells you that you are ultimately cheating yourself out of an education. thats how i feel. i feel that ive been using weed to cheat in life so much that i ended up cheating myself. maybe i cheated myself out of having more life experiences.

How should I deal with someone who lies and tries to make themselves better than me?

I've known this guy for 6 years and worked with him organizing activities in our church, but I've trusted few people less in my life. It's a very rare thing in our church to not trust people, and because I made myself friends with him I have lost many friends in school, and friends in church. I have gotten angry at him and he has always seemed intimidated by me. He is somewhat of a slacker when it comes to school, but shows an easy ability for memorizing and sciences, but I am more intelligent than him (at least in practice); he seems to have a higher moral code, and when he talks with most people, he jokes around with them a bit pathetically, but when he talks to me, he often is on the defensive, for what reason I do not know, and when I ask him questions, if he feels he can lie about something to make him look better he does (girls usually, says he talks to girls all the time I know he's rarely had the courage to say hello to), and if he has done something wrong (I also work with him and he makes mistakes) he explains how what he did was actually more intelligent when I know it isn't. I have a feeling that I should figure out some way to talk to him and say, "I don't like it when you screw up, but I hate it so much more when you lie about it," or if anyone on here has a better idea. At times he is incredibly awkward and at times he acts as if he is "smooth" then is very embarred, but tries to hide it. I'm not sure if this is from a hypocrisy he hides (our church has high standards of behavior and people can lie about them to church leaders in order to avoid public judgment) or if he's just an idiot. His older brother has similar problems but is more argumentative about it. I care about this guy, enough that I've obsessed over it, but I've got my own problems too, what do you think I should do? Would it make the problem worse for me to tell him what problems I have with him?

Fractured 5th metatarsal?

so i broke my 5th metatarsal about a week ago and i am seeing an orthopedist on monday. i have been pretty much off of it all week and keeping it in a fibergl cast. they gave me tylenol with hydrocodone for pain in the ER. the swelling has gone down completely and it doesnt really hurt that much anymore. i can limp along just fine as long as i keep it on the heel, i think i could probably put some more pressure on it than that but i dont want to make it worse. i have been taking calcium supplements too to help the cracked bone(it is only cracked, the bone isnt pulled apart). my question is am i going to be non weight bearing? i go to college and i have to walk to cles (all up hill and pretty far) and i really cannot get used to crutches as much as i have tried or been taught. any advice on what i should do?? thanks!

we drove from Sydney- S.A, up to the centre, stopped at Coober Pedy, what a fascinating place, then to Uluru, beautiful, then worked our way up to Darwin, stopping Alice Springs, Tenant Creek,Mataranka, Katherine. So many things to see and do. Spent 5 days in Darwin, the nicest, cleanest place I have ever been to, can't wait to go back. Then back down to 3 ways and across to Townsville, and slowly made our way back down to Sydney. The red centre was the most memorable, camel riding and just the sights, gorges, springs etc. This was actually our 1st time out of nsw, my wife & I drove this trip in 6 weeks with an 8 year old child in the car, & we all survived. Cant wait to do it again, but take 6 months, not weeks.

Concrete dust from Jackhammering?

didn't wear a dust mask the other day when my friend (he didn't either) was jackhammering a small section of concrete in his basement. There was some dust, but not a whole lot as the room was large. Plus we only used the jackhammer for 10min. I didn't realize anything about silica until I read about it later. Anybody else done this, and if so, any health problems? This was only a one time event, and I now know next time. I just don't want to develop anything as I am only 26. Like I said, there wasn't much of a dust cloud and we tried to ventilate the area.

nice idea, unchartered territory in my eyes. Its a poem about drinking to escape. My only criticisms: your term "man from the emerald isle," although better than just man, is still lacking in description and slightly biased against Irish people, like me. Better go with something like " man with flattened ears" (only, don't use that example), or something that would really stick out in your mind and would not be so limiting. Also, the first stanza needs a bit more artistry. It seems to cold and technical. The line "communicates indifference" sounds more like something in an essay than a poem.

Oceanside, and Carlsbad are neighboring cities next to Camp Pendleton Marine Corp Base. Rents would probably be slightly lower than those in the Los Angeles basin. The same would hold true for more inland cities like San Marcos, Vista, and Escondido, but they can get hot in the summer time. The commute to San Diego is about 80 miles round trip, and while doable, with the price of gasoline is it something you could work into your household budget? Surely your wife would have no trouble finding work in the local area. Both are nice cities to live in, and I hear they both have good school systems (if that becomes part of equation).

Kawasaki Vulcan 800 cuts out while riding.?

Last summer my Vulcan would cut-out while I was riding. It was not predictable when it would happen. I would be able to coast to the side of the road, turn the key off and then back on and it would fire back up as though nothing happened. I took it to a repair shop, they checked the carb and finally determined it was the fusebox. So, they replaced that and the bike felt goo as new. But then it did it a couple of times after that. Wow...I really, really loved that poem. The imagery and flow is incredible. The only line that I had to reread out of confusion instead of out of complete awe of this masterpiece was "Radiance and memory fade all too quickly, too." the double too's sort of ruin the nice flow you have going. But it's not major and perhaps it was done purposefully? It's a really fantastic poem though. The first two, and the last two stanzas were my favorite by the way. Wow...I can't get over finding this treasure. I really did love it that much hahaha.

I bought a great deal HP laptop used from some guy on Craigslist. When I got it home and tried to install my printer, I got an error message telling me that I did not have the authority to do that, and to contact my network administrator. Later on, I tried to install a game for one of my kids, and got the same message. The computer is almost worthless since I don't have "Authority" on this network, and since I bought the computer used, I have no idea what network is even involved! Someone out there in cyber-land knows how to just either override or delete the whole admin. settings so I can start fresh with this computer and have a workable machine that can play games, print things, and hook up to my other desktop via wireless router (I don't have the authority to do any of these things currently)...Please help! You need to get a wireless adapter for each of your Xbox's. The gaming adapter is only really ment to be used with one device and sharing it causes a bottleneck. You'd probably benefit from a faster router, either gaming or N. But with an N series router you'd need new wireless adapters too.

I really like this guy I met through my brother. We went out on a date and really hit it off. Then after about 2 weeks he started to get really distant. He called me and told me that he didn't want to see me anymore. So I did what anyone else would do, try my best to get over him. After about 2 weeks he called me and asked if I would come over because he was really depressed and needed someone to talk to. I drove over to his house and went inside. I also take offense to the arguments I hear in opposition to the Obama health care reform legislation by people who have company supported/subsidized insurance. Don't go all the way to providence for italian food! There is the North End in Boston which is a legit town of italian-ness. ALSO, if you and your husband want to do some shopping try going to Newbury Street. There are tons of stores. Also, take a walk around Boston Harbor and the Charleston River. Boston is a very beautiful and easy city to walk around. I recommend just taking a few hours and walking around to window show and maybe even find some good finds. Boston is a gorgeous city and at first it may seem slightly intimidating because it can be very busy. But as long as you listen to these tips you will have a wonderful time. Enjoy the city!!

If it's a short story, I recomend the third choice. If this is a series you are creating, and this is the final edition to it, I recomend no cliffhangers, but that's because I personally don't like stories ending with no conclusive information. I have one for another camera with the same amperage (2A) but the adapter puts out 7.4 V instead of the 6V rated for the camera I want to run. How close do I have to get in voltage [uming the polarity matches] without causing serious damage? What if I used a cheap wall-wart that puts out 6V but only a measly 300mA?

Sickness from work...?

My daughter, 20 year old is currently on the sick from work due to a bereavement, the boss now wants a meeting with her to discuss her future although she has produced a sick note for another 2 weeks, does she have to go to the meeting? Also if she wanta to leave her current job whilst still on the sick where does she stand with giving in her notice and would she be able to claim sickness benefits? There is this whole internet thing that says once you hear about a girl called Blood Ice Death White Lady you die in 10 in days 10:00 pm. This is how it works now that you heard of it you will die and there is nothing you can do. You will see a figure of a women and she will count to 10 next thing you know she pulling out your teeth one by one. Reach down and pull out your heart. My friend told this to me and showed me this on the internet. Her distant cousin who lives in somewhere in Trenton NJ recently died and they found her dead missing a few teeth and they believe what happened was she was cutting wood and she tripped. Fell face forward into the blade were it started going through her jaw. They believed it from the scars on her gums and the few teeth that were left. Her cousin was the one who told her of this story. Basically Meg went to school with someone who told the story about Mary Worth 10 and his friend had recently died from gun shots and was killed very sick a unusual. His friend was the one who told him the story. (They live in a very bad area) and Meg was killed to. I also searched this up on the internet and found the story of the white death.
