Could I have AIDS/HIV?

Yesterday my stupid mate stabbed me in the leg with a pin, now I don't think he has AIDS but what if someone who had AIDS got pricked themselves and the disease was on it? When will symptoms be visible..? Is it actually incurable? I hate AIDS.. �_�
