Is Pastor Terry Jones proof that any twit can be a self proclaimed Pastor of some sort in America?

Do people like this guy and the Evil Eye deflecting African Pastor that hangs with Palin at her church where do these people go to receive their religious training? Or do these self describe fringe Evangelicals ever receive real religious education? Or do they fill out a match book cover?
